[T]echnology: The Future Is Automated
I spend a lot of time daydreaming about the future. ✨ Especially the future of real estate.
As humans, we’re full of great ideas. The problem has always been time. There just aren’t enough hours in the day to execute everything we think of. Between AI and automation, that’s starting to change fast. Agents are about to become dramatically more productive.
This might sound like something far off, but it’s already starting to happen. Tesla just rolled out in car automations using simple “if this, then that” logic. 🚗🔁
Think about what that means.
Imagine driving through a neighborhood and, because of your location, your system automatically sends a message to clients within a few miles letting them know you’re nearby or sharing relevant listings.
Or imagine your car’s cameras spotting a For Sale sign before it even hits the MLS. Because we all know that happens. The system recognizes the property, checks your CRM, and automatically alerts buyers whose search matches that home.
That’s not science fiction. That’s where technology is going. 🚀
I spoke in Atlanta yesterday with a great group of agents at RE/MAX Around Atlanta, and we talked about the idea that agents who use AI will replace agents who don’t. It sounds overused, but the pace of change is making it more obvious every day.
If you don’t know where to start, start simple.
Ask AI where you should start. 🤝🤖

[E]ducation: Consumers Don’t Want AI
Even if the future is automated, you’ve got to know your audience. 👥
A post went viral this week from someone claiming to be the Chief Marketing Officer of an AI company that spent $8 million on a Super Bowl ad.
The ad was polished, tested perfectly, and even generated thousands of versions to make sure the AI didn’t hallucinate.
The audience hated it.
Not just that ad. Most AI ads. Viewers were already skeptical, and the flood of AI messaging actually made trust worse. Some people even started accusing normal human-made ads of being AI because they became so suspicious.
Here’s the lesson for real estate agents. 🏡
Consumers don’t hate AI. They hate fake-feeling AI.
Anything that feels staged, overly polished, or robotic gets rejected. People want real expertise, local knowledge, and authentic guidance. That’s why generic AI listing descriptions or scripted messaging often fall flat. Buyers and sellers can feel the difference.
The opportunity is simple. The agents who win won’t be the ones showing off technology. They’ll be the ones using AI to serve people better. Faster responses. Clearer communication. More time for relationships.
AI should remove friction, not replace trust.
Consumers don’t want AI. They want results. AI is just the tool. 🛠️:

[C]oaching: Failure

This week's coaching section was inspired by a post made by John Clark. 🙌
I love this.
Because I have failed more times than I can count.
But it's what you do with your failures that matters. I don't even call them failures anymore. I call it tuition…and I've paid a lot of tuition over the years. 🎓
Every bad hire.
Every deal that fell apart.
Every idea that flopped.
Every risk that didn’t work.
That was tuition.
The difference between people who grow and people who stay stuck isn’t talent. It’s their relationship with failure. Most people avoid risk because they’re afraid to fail. The problem is that avoiding failure also means avoiding growth. 📉
You don’t learn confidence from winning. You learn confidence from surviving what didn’t work and realizing you’re still standing.
Every successful agent, business owner, and leader you admire has a long list of things that didn’t work. You just don’t see that part.
So if something isn’t working right now, good. That means you’re trying. That means you’re learning. That means you’re moving forward while others are standing still.
Pay the tuition. Learn the lesson. Keep going. 🚀

[H]ow To: Host A DIY Merch Party
We recently hosted our very own DIY Merch Party—and I absolutely loved it! This section might be especially for my brokerage owners out there… but agents, if you love this idea, send it to your head boss and have them host one too!
Before I go any further, I can’t take credit for the idea. RE/MAX Results Oklahoma shared it in the RE/MAX Creative Facebook Group, and I immediately had a flood of agents tagging me saying we had to do this.

The whole idea is incredibly simple — you really only need transfers and a heat press machine. You can even rent a press, so you don’t necessarily have to buy one. That said, I highly recommend purchasing one for your office. Now we have unlimited merch we can create for awards, fundraising events, office swag… and if RE/MAX ever decides to change their logo again, we’re ready to remake everything!
Okay, so here’s how to do it:
Step One: Pick a date and time. Rent or purchase a heat press machine.
Step Two: Create your designs. This was the most fun part for me! RE/MAX friends — feel free to use my Canva template link to get started. I have over 60 designs ready to go 🙂
Step Three: Order your transfers. I ordered all of mine from Jiffy.com and can’t recommend them enough — very affordable and extremely fast. I received my transfers within 48 hours each time I ordered. Just be sure to pay close attention to sizing by inches, not t-shirt size. I learned that the hard way and ended up with a few extra-large (and unusable!) designs.
Step Four: Prep for the event! Grab some snacks and drinks and make it fun. I set up a mimosa bar so everyone could sip, relax, and take their time choosing their designs.

I limited people to 5 designs per person just because of how time consuming the whole process is. We only did around 20 items and it still took a full two hours.

I also created cards where guests could leave their items behind with the transfers taped exactly where they wanted them, so they didn’t have to wait if they were in a hurry. I had a sign-up sheet available too, so if we ran out of a specific design, they could request it and I’d order and deliver it later.
Next time, I’ll probably set up time slots. It would definitely cut down on people waiting around (and staring at you while you press their stuff).

Step Five: Take lots of photos of all the merch you made and start planning your next event! I’m already hosting another one next week and have a holiday merch party on the calendar for November. 🎄✨
