[T]echnology: Where’s It Going

f you've been reading Tech with Ty, you know I’m extremely bullish on AI, but the truth is…I have no idea where it’s going. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’ve been speaking across the country this year on AI and how agents can be used, but I get asked all of the time, do I think it will replace agents?

My short answer is no…but my long answer is that it can. 👀

I was talking to one of my attorney friends the other day and he told me a story about another attorney testing an AI service for attorneys and that it was able to do 40 hours of research and work in about 2.5 hours. That’s preparing for an actual case. Imagine what it can do with a simple contract. 🤯

So yes, AI can replace certain aspects of the job. The naysayers will say, “but it won’t replace hands-on type jobs”..

Yes, it can. And I don’t think we’re even scratching the surface.

This is from a developer that I follow:

What AI can’t replace are relationships.

But if you’re not utilizing AI to help you manage and incubate those relationships, you will lose.

If you thought it was moving fast before, buckle up because it’s moving at warped speed now.

It doesn’t matter if you haven’t dipped your toes into AI or you’re an expert.

This is a must watch documentary on AI:Search up your city here!

If this isn’t your thing. I have to urge you to reconsider. If nothing else, throw it on your treadmill for your New Year’s resolution.

[C]oaching: New Year. New You.

Speaking of New Year’s Resolutions…it’s that time.

So what is your resolution going to be? 🤔

Here’s the truth most agents don’t want to hear…

Success in real estate doesn’t come from massive changes. It comes from simple habits done consistently. But none of it works if the goal only lives in your head. If you want real results this year, you’ve got to write it down. Not type it. Write it. 🖊️

Every January, agents set vague goals.

“Do more deals.”
“Make more money.”
“Have better balance.”

Those aren’t goals. Their wishes. 🎂

A written goal forces clarity. It gives your daily actions a job. Without it, even the best habits drift.

So start here. One written goal. Just one.

“I will close 24 transactions this year.”
“I will generate two new opportunities every week.”
“I will protect my mornings for lead generation.”

Nothing fancy. Just specific.

Once the goal is written, the path gets easier. You stop asking “What should I do today?” because the answer is already baked in.

Simple habits are where the magic happens. 🪄

  • Five real conversations a day.

  • One follow up block before distractions kick in.

  • One piece of value shared consistently.

  • One personal touch every week.

That’s it.

These habits won’t impress anyone on Instagram. They won’t feel exciting. But they work because they stack. Day after day. Week after week. Year after year.

I’ve seen this play out over and over. The agents who win aren’t the most motivated. They’re the most disciplined. They build systems that work even on bad days.

And this is where tech actually helps. Not to replace effort, but to reduce friction. 🔥

Set reminders.

Automate the boring stuff.

Let AI help you stay consistent, not lazy.

The new year won’t magically change your business.

New habits will.

Written goals make those habits stick.

Same market.

Same clients.

Same opportunities.

New year.

New you.

[H]ow To: Effectively Use AI On Social Media

We’re going to continue the theme of today’s email and keep talking about AI.

As a Gen Z’er, I feel like my generation has a very different perspective than others when it comes to AI-generated content. I’ll scroll on Facebook and see agents posting AI-generated photos of themselves, and people don’t even bat an eye—they fully believe the photo is real.

Even Tyler and I posted an AI photo this year of me feeding a bear outside our office, and we had people in the comments yelling at us for feeding wildlife.

Meanwhile, when I go on TikTok, my generation and younger can immediately spot a video that’s been altered with AI.

What I’m starting to notice, though, is a growing sense of fatigue around AI content among younger generations—which I honestly find fascinating. Older generations don’t seem to be feeling that fatigue yet. Maybe it’s because my generation grew up with technology, so we aren’t as impressed by what AI can do. I’m not totally sure. But I do see a trickle of what’s coming.🚰

Like Tyler mentioned above, personal relationships and personal touches are going to become much more important. The constant flood of fake, AI-generated content will start to be ignored. And if your content is being ignored, what’s the point? 🤷🏼‍♀️

So how do you fix this? I truly don’t believe AI content will completely overtake what we consume online. People are going to crave personal connection again, and I just don’t see AI ever being able to fully create that. You’re either going to have to be extremely clever—or go back to square one.

Think smarter, not harder. 🧠

What I think people should be doing to use AI while still coming across as genuine is filming videos the same way they always have—yes, even in their car—but using AI to edit those videos. I haven’t found a software that’s perfect at this yet (or, dare I say, better than my own editing skills😼), but I think it will catch up eventually. That is when AI should be used—not to replace you, but to enhance your content in ways you couldn’t on your own.

For example, when I write Tech With Ty every week, I sit down and word-vomit my entire section🤮. I put all my thoughts out there on whatever I’m discussing, and then I use ChatGPT to clean it up. My unique thoughts are still there—AI just makes them better.

That’s what I believe the future of AI-generated content will look like. The content that performs won’t be entirely AI-generated, but original creations made better with AI.

I do think the better these social platforms become at labeling AI-generated content, the more it will impact how viewers perceive it. If all of your content is flagged with an AI warning, are clients going to trust you the same way? Will they relate to you as much as someone whose content doesn’t carry that label?

These are just a few things to keep in mind as we approach 2026. AI is constantly evolving—and as it does, so are the perspectives of the people consuming the content. In my opinon, AI should be used as a tool not a replacement.
